Wolf tracks & fat tires | Nikon D3, ISO 400, Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8, @ f/5.6, three shot HDR
Spent a few hours this past weekend shooting fat tire bikes on the St. Louis River… Yah, you read that right, bikes on the river. Even though old man winter has brought little snow and relatively warm temps to Northern Minnesota, most of the inland lakes and rivers have several inches of ice. And with fat tires being the latest trend in mountain biking, we ventured out on the ice for some photos and a short ride.
With bike and camera I joined by my photo friend Hansi Johnson along the slippery shores of the St Louis River. After a short ride, and a stout hike up the river bank I handful of images I thought had potential. Nothing I was super excited about, but getting there and trying to get the shots was great fun. Thanks Hansi!
